Federale Verzekering is an independent insurance company in which the clients are also the shareholders. Unlike many financial businesses, the company has remained popular with clients and has never experience financial difficulties.
Due to their clients also being their shareholders, Federale Verzekering has always been a very responsible company. They needed someone to help fine tune the company’s DNA and really give them a sense of identity and help boost their position in the Belgian market, and that’s where we came in.
Through tactical campaigns, we were able to reinforce the brands image across a range of marketing outlets. Mosquito has done a number of campaigns for Federale Verzekering over the years covering things such as car insurance, construction, pensions and retirement funding.
Through these campaigns we were able to give them a real sense of brand identity and boost awareness and people’s image of the company. Although each campaign was different, two noticeable things that reappear throughout many of them are; the image of a small hand offering something up and the line “Maybe you should think about Federale Verzekering”.
The use of the term ‘maybe’ gives the company the image of an underdog, someone people might not have thought of at first (and with the Belgian people being the underdogs of the world, clients can definitely relate to that!). The small hand proves that Federale Verzekering has something special to offer its clients.
The work we have done for Federale Verzekering is a perfect example of how a long-standing relationship with one of our clients can become something very special as we take the journey through the advertising jungle together. Overall it has been a complete 360° campaign advertised through radio, print, online and point-of-sale.
